But Collins is among a group of bird hunters statewide that is making a push to convince state officials to create a dove season…._

_The sportsmen federations of Warren and Washington counties have gotten behind the movement, as have their counterparts in Greene and Columbia counties.

The New York State Conservation Council has also gotten on board, asking the state Department of Environmental Conservation to survey hunters on the issue…._
