Just When You Thought it was Safe to Take a Trophy Pic...

In our 50 Best Reader Photos gallery from October, Beekeeper threw up this cool shot (left) of a hunter, who supposedly took a timed photo of himself with his trophy elk and later, when he looked at the pictures, saw that there had been a mountain lion lurking behind him the whole time.

Immediately, you wonder if it's a fake...and according to Snopes.com, it is. The mountain lion was apparently lifted from a photo (right) taken by a California wildlife biologist in February, 2008.

It's the Internet; it happens. So why did we bring it up? So we could show you this really creepy photo below from Eric Kreisler with his trophy pumpkin in Pennsylvania, which is decidedly real.
