Yank That Starter Cord Like You’ve Never Yanked It Before!

I’ve kinda been here. I’ve kinda done this. You’re on some rental boat or a friend’s grandpa’s junker with the circa 1972 9.9 horsepower and a storm blows up or you’re drifting into shallow water that’ll ground you. Or maybe there’s some nasty fast water downstream you really don’t want to get swept into. You pray and rip that starter cord with all you’ve got, but she just won’t fire up. I have never, however, been in this situation when a wave capable of destroying the boat was bearing down.
