I’m compiling a list of the 25 greatest deer hunters ever. Want to help? I’ve got 20 or so off the top of my head, including renowned old-time deerslayers like Nat Foster (Cooper’s real-life Natty Bumppo) and Philip Tome, 20th-century icons like Fred Bear and Larry Koller, and a handful of living legends, such as the Wensel brothers.

But I’m sure there’s a hunter or two I’m not thinking of. So my question to you is, who are they? Assuming I already have the most obvious all-time great deer hunters, who else should make the list? What lesser-known, surprising, or controversial names should be considered?
