Discussion Topic: On Grandmas And Guns

Little old ladies make the top 10 list of Most Harmless Creatures On Earth--alongside seahorses and baby rabbits, right? Well, not these ladies:

From Indiana's WNDU News:

_It's not uncommon to hear stories of people defending their homes and themselves from intruders-- but when it's a 70-year-old woman, that story is a bit more uncommon. . . .
_

_911 call:
_

_Dispatch: "Ma'am, are you holding him at gunpoint?"
_

Sandra: "Yes, I am. And if he moves towards me, I'm afraid I'm going to have to kill. I don't want to have to kill him.

_Helon "Cissy" Rodabough didn't take long to go from never having "had a gun in my hand" to killing her first deer.
_

_Hunting with her husband, T.B., at the Rodabough family farm in Becker Bottom, Cissy bagged a small, four-point buck. Cissy is 90 and T.B. is 91. . . .
_

Cissy got her deer with one shot, the first shot she had ever gotten off. . . .

On the first two outings, the gun didn't fire when she pulled the trigger, but, as they say, the third time is the charm.

What do you think? Will you be so feisty at 70? Still hunting at 90?
