With all the hearty things you can cook up in camp, it might be easy to forget about a sweet treat to cap off your fireside feast. But desserts needn’t be an afterthought, says Steve McGrath, Camp Chef marketing manager (camp​, who serves up these delicious, and easy, dessert ideas.

Blueberry-Muffin Oranges
Pour prepared muffin mix into half of a hollowed-out orange. Place the other empty half over the top, wrap everything tightly in tinfoil, and bake directly in a bed of hot coals for 10 to 15 minutes.

Quesadilla S’mores
“No campfires allowed? No problem,” says McGrath. Place a handful each of chocolate chips, mini marshmallows, and honey-flavored Teddy Grahams between two flour tortillas. Toast on a hot nonstick griddle, flipping once, until the inside is melted.

Dutch Oven Dump Cobbler
As the name suggests, dump three cans of pie filling, two boxed cake mixes, a stick of sliced butter, and 2 cups of lemon-lime soda into a 12-inch Dutch oven. Bake for 45 minutes to 1 hour. “One of the easiest desserts I make–and the most popular.”
