Winchester Fail Safe Big-Game Bullets

In the 1980s, Winchester was badly burned by its wretched Silvertip Bullet (not to be confused with the newer Ballistic Silvertip, which is an excellent bullet). The horror of the experience completely changed the way the folks in Alton (Illinois) design and test their slugs, and the Fail Safe, which was developed under the new program, is one of the best projectiles you can get. It penetrates like a shaped charge, expands reliably, and retains almost all of its weight. For big, heavy game, there is nothing better. www.winchester.com
