Bull and hammerhead would be the most common big sharks. Far offshore you might find mako and thresher and other species but they're uncommon.
Large numbers of Blacktip sharks are by far the most targeted. However, encounters with big Bull shark, Tiger shark, and Hammerhead occur each summer.
I could kick myself for overlooking blacktips. Thanks, rudyglove27. Often it's the obvious that gets by me.
Blacktips are the most commonly caught sharks while a Bull or Hammerhead isn't unheard of.
