If Best of the Best were a beauty contest, the Vinci would not have won. The test of a shotgun is how it points and swings, however, and the Vinci passed with flying colors. This gun is light—6 pounds 14 ounces in a 26-inch-barreled, 3-inch 12-gauge—and uses a version of Benelli’s proven inertia action. It’s easy to load, thanks to the large bolt release, and the bolt lock is unobtrusively placed and easy to push. The trigger broke cleanly at 51⁄2 pounds. Only the location of the safety in the front of the trigger guard caused any grumbling.
The Vinci comes apart unlike any other shotgun. You can pop the barrel and receiver off in
less than five seconds for in-field maintenance. Better yet, the return spring sits in the receiver, not in a tube in the stock, so it’s easy to reach and clean. The recoil pad and buttstock both twist off without tools. -- Phil Bourjaily

Mr. Bourjaily, if Dave can't get me the E.R. Shaw rifle by Christmas due to backorders, this will do just fine as a substitute.
This gun is amazing! It is the same quality you would expect from Benelli and it has such a unique look to it. A quality shotgun.
Well nothing says Merry Christmas like a new Benelli and as long as I am wishing this would be great in 20 ga.
Aesthetics matter to me in a recreational weapon. I’ll pass.
I hate the looks of this gun. I also hate the pricetag....
I would rather just get a real gun and buy a Mossberg or Remington.
Would also pass .. $$$ and aesthetics ..
don't care for the look of the gun
Being a left handed Dad with two right handed boys that I hope to pass along my shotguns to someday, the location of the safety is a deal breaker for me.
To expensive for a 3". If I would spend that for a upland gun it would have a classic look.
i realy wont this benelli. but to exspensive but it doest mater becuse i have the supper black hawk.
I played with one of these the other day. The look is better in person and the balance it dang perfect. I used to moan about the cost of a Benelli until I finally got an M2. If you want semi-auto perfection that you just can't break they can't be beat. The Vinci has even less places for dirt, water, and other unpleasant things to hide. I am guessing its just as bullet proof.
paying that much for this gun, it better come with dead birds with it or guarantee a hit everytime. ill stick with my 870 16g
I don't understand the the Italians. They make the most beautiful sports cars. They have incredible food. Their art is at the top of anyone's list. They have beautiful women. Their architecture.... And they have succeeded in creating a shotgun that is so ugly it would make a bulldog jump off a meatwagon.....And want to overcharge me for it too??? Pass.....I mean FAIL.
Maxus. Less muzzle flip, less recoil, shoots 3.5 and cycles light lows flawlessly. Looks good too. Did the Editors even look at the Maxus or did Browning not pony up as much ad revenue? Frankly, what with the Team Leader as knife of the year one year etc., I've come to have little faith in F&S reviews.
It is ugly......but pick it up and swing it before you pass judgement....if it looked just a little better or was a little less expensive I would have one by now.
And not known to be a Benelli fan
Really expensive... Really Ugly... but i guess a good looking gun won't shoot any better than an ugly one any way. If you can get past the price tag this gun seems to definately be worth it.
They are all ugly if the clay dosen't break or the bird dosen't fold!
