Gun Dog Photo Contest: Vote for the Winner!
By David DiBenedetto

Okay folks, after four months the electronic doors have closed. As of January 1, no more new entries were accepted for the Gun Dog Photo Contest. Now the real fun begins.
In a little less than a month we’ll announce the winner of the Remington Model 1100 Premier Sporting 28-Gauge with nickel receiver and gold inlays (valued at $1400). And the best part is, the editors have no say in deciding the victor. That job is left up to you. And a job it is.
There are 778 photos to choose from. Like Labs? Oh, there’s a pack of them. Like springers? Plenty of those, too. Not to mention GSPs, red-headed poodles, hounds, Boykins, goldens, and many, many more.
You can vote for as many photos as you like, but you’re only allowed one vote per photo. The photo with the most votes wins. I’ll announce the winner right here on February 1, 2010.
To get started with the voting process, click here. Have fun and good luck to all involved.

I thought it would be impossible to go through all those photos but the set up makes it easy. Didn't take long at all. Well done. Best of luck to everyone.
Nice prize! Good luck guys and gals!
Don't forget to throw a vote my way. I'm on page 13 with the goose graduation photo.
Lots of great photos to choose from.

Matouse

All you guys are lucky I missed the submission deadline!
I don't know why I didn't sign up for this contest. Oh well to late, hope the best dog wins.
I got ya Del. Thanks for the vote.
Too many to choose from so... all are winners in my book! Great job everyone
Matouse3 You go, Boy! Good Luck;) Why wasn't I invited to the graduation party???
The photo at the top of this article should be the winner, hands down. This is a gun dog contest....not a lap dog, not a fireplace ornament, a gun dog. The intensity. The desire. Nothing tops this shot!
ahhh.... rolesville rocker. I won't let you down, I bet you're checking everyday if anyone will comment on your post. The photo at the top is fantastic, great background, excellent lighting. A real lucky shot. Speaking of someone whose hobby is gun dog photography I can also tell you that a pointing shot is one of the easier shots to get but this pic was probably the best out 40 other shots he had pointing. Not taking anything away from this pic, heck I voted for it. We all don't have the time to get the right light and the perfect shot, maybe we need to apologize to you for that. But every dog in this contest is a gun dog, some may shots may not have been taken in the field but you can tell that every person here loves their dog whether it's in the field or laying on the couch. Every one of these pictures means something to someone. So maybe you can layoff the judgements. Btw....I am on page 10, 9th row down, 2nd on in. Birds coming in.

A definite lack of poodles here and I'm wondering WHY? My noisy barky Carmie would've won then I could've donated the gun to my daughter to keep her boyfriend in line.
Not to be too critical here BUT it would be nice if F&S makes a lot of money from this contest so they can upgrade to faster servers.
CORRECTION! I meant SELL the gun to my daughter, not donate. 8-)
I was looking for the 2010 BoothBabe to vote for, where was her pic?(shrug) My kind of gal!
Congratulations on the gun Matouse3! Notice that I am congratulating you before the contest is over.
Matouse3, tell me how did you log in over 200 votes on your photo in 2 hours. You are getting a vote in less that a minute for the past two hours. And you are still going strong. Does field and stream really check the ip addresses? You better hope not. Let's see 8pm you had 210 at 10:15pm you were already up to 423. Way to go, Congratulations and thanks for ruining the contest for the rest of us. Good thing you're such a fine upstanding member of F&S. Give somebody the kids can look up to.
yeah, have fun with that 28, Matouse3. Be sure to come back with a photo of 250 grouse, robins, and the elusive hummingbird! Might as well score some eagles and owls while you're at it. You're a true sportsman, jerk.
