California Mule Deer 6x6 2008
My name is Robin Newlen and I live in Bakersfield, Ca. I was drawn for this late season Kern River buck hunt (G6). This hunt is a do-it-yourself hunt on public land. I was hunting with my husband and 2 small boys. The second day of hunting this is what I was able to harvest. He's a heavy 6x6, nice eyeguards, 28 1/8" wide, and unofficially scored at 187.

What a buck! Its great that you were able to share it with your family. But I bet those boys will have high expectations when they get their first licence:) I love those dark antlers.
thats an awesome mulie, congrats!
Amazing Mulie! That is a trophy to be proud of. Good to see them kids in the field, way to go parents!
It's great to see a California buck, and even better to see the whole family out there in the woods.
Great job! Are you going to get him mounted?
That is a amazing mule deer! Never would have thought CA produced great mulies...how hard is it to draw a tag in CA?
