Could you give me any information on a fishing reel named BUHL'S St.Clair, made in the USA. No other writing on the reel. Who manufactured it and when?

Can you describe the reel? I did not see anything in my vintage reel book under that name.

Santa, if you don't know about it, it will be a tough one to identify. I still bet you'll figure it out.

The reel is 2 1/4" wide, diameter also 2 1/4". Tough to describe, but I'd be happy to send you a few pictures if you give me an e-mail address. Thanks for the reply.

I've never heard of this reel either, but would like to know more about it. It looks like most WW II era reels.

It might be a * St. Claire * - Montague Mulitplier.

Wouldn't it have some other writing on the side plates? The only lettering is on the right side, reading "BUHL'S StClair 249", and on the base Made in the USA Patented". No other writing!
