I haven't bought one yet, but the local gun shop owner said that as soon as he gets one someone buys it. Getting one when I turn 21.

*5" barrel length
*38oz weight
*Series 80, not 70
*carbon steel
*flared ejection port
*walnut checkered grips
*3 dot dovetailed front/rear sights
*7+1
*ultra-light match trigger, 3 hole Wilson Combat

Just described my new 1911R1, says so right on the slide. I hated the factory trigger, so I changed it. Bottom line...$599 US. Fricking nice, at that price.

Will retire my Kimber for a period of mourning...maybe never go back.

countitandone,
Sounds good, esp. the price.
What did you replace the factory trigger with?

The factory trig was solid and sticky, weighted.

I had the local smithey put the Wilson Combat 3-hole in place of the factory install.
