I am a retired Conservation Officer and taught Hunter Education classes for 35 years while on duty and for 4 years as a Volunteer Hunter Ed Instructor since I retired. The last 16 years of my career I supervised over 100 Volunteer Hunter Ed Instructors. I fired Instructors for a lot less than this. This instructor and his wife should be given the maximum fine on each charge , have his instructor status revoked lifetime and his hunting priviledges in Illinois revoked lifetime. It is about time we make an example out of people that use their position to take advantage of the wildlife. I'm sure he thought he could get away with it just because he was an instructor. The instructors that I let go that is what they thought. I get upset when someone like this gives the position a bad name. As you can tell I am tired of smacking people on the wrists and letting them go.
As far as the Texans violating the law in Kansas make an example out of them. They sound like candidates for the nationwide hunting ban. Sounds like they were making some serious money. Collect some serious money from them. I am sure that they would never hunt in Kanas again ever.
With 925 more tags being let, I may draw the areas I have wanted to hunt for the past 3 years. My chances have improved...but then, everyone else is now in the running as well.
