Clean the Fire Channel in your Muzzleloader's Breech Plug

Uploaded on July 03, 2012

When I finish shooting my muzzleloader, I use a needle and thread to clean the fire channel in the breech plug. I thread a little bit of cotton thread through the thinnest sewing needle i can find, soak the thread in some gun solvent, and the run it through the fire channel. I am always amazed at the amount of fouling that this method pulls out, and it allows me to ensure that the channel is clear for my next shoot.
